NOTE:  There will be no Silent Auction or exhibits at the Ruidoso Workshop.
 
  The theme for the Ruidoso workshop/conference is "Let's Talk Floodplain" and the preliminary agenda can be accessed by clicking HERE.   We will post updates to the agenda as they are created.
 
  The  workshop is being held at the Ruidoso Convention Center, located at 111 Sierra Blanca Drive in Ruidoso, NM.  The conference hotel is the MCM Elegante, just across the parking lot from the convention center.  The phone number for reservations is 1-866-211-7727, or you can click http://www.mcmeleganteruidoso.com to make reservations online.  Mention that you are with Floodplains to get the group rate.
 

  Jim DeAngelo, with BHINC, will teach a Floodplain Management Concepts class on Tuesday from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.  This class will be worth 3 CECs for CFMs.

  Su Zhang, with EDAC, UNM, will teach a QGIS class also on Tuesday from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.  This class will be worth 3 CECs for CFMs.


  The New Mexico Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (NMDHSEM) will again offer reimbursements for the Fall 2018 NMFMA Workshop.  Reimbursement will be provided for eligible government employees.  There will be a special session during the conference to assist members in filling out the proper forms.  Go HERE for more information about requesting reimbursement.
